The short version: MoneyTools does not collect, store, or share any personal data. All calculations happen in your browser. We don't use cookies, we don't require a sign-up, and we have no idea who you are. That's intentional.
Who we are
MoneyTools is a collection of free, browser-based financial calculators for UK users, available at ukmoneytools.uk. This privacy policy explains how we handle — or rather, don't handle — your data.
What data we collect
We collect no personal data. Specifically:
- We do not ask for your name, email address, or any contact information
- We do not require you to create an account or log in
- We do not store the numbers you enter into any calculator
- We do not use cookies of any kind — advertising, tracking, or functional
- We do not use browser local storage to retain your inputs between sessions
All calculations are performed entirely within your browser. When you close the page, your figures are gone. Nothing is sent to any server.
Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting analytics (such as Plausible Analytics or a similar cookieless tool) to understand aggregate usage patterns — for example, which calculators are most popular, or what country visitors come from. If we do, this data is:
- Aggregated and anonymous — no individual is identifiable
- Never sold or shared with third parties
- Not used for advertising or retargeting
- Collected without cookies and without requiring consent under UK GDPR
If you are currently using analytics on this site, we will update this section to name the specific tool and link to its privacy policy.
Advertising
MoneyTools may display third-party advertisements in the future. If and when advertising is introduced, we will update this policy to explain what data, if any, the advertising provider collects, and obtain any necessary consent. At present, no advertising is running and no advertising cookies are set.
Third-party services
This site loads fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests these fonts, Google receives your IP address as a standard part of the HTTP request. Google's privacy policy applies to this interaction. We are investigating self-hosting fonts to eliminate this entirely.
We do not embed any social media widgets, third-party scripts, payment processors, or external services beyond fonts.
Your rights under UK GDPR
Because we do not collect personal data, most UK GDPR rights (access, rectification, erasure, portability) are not applicable — there is simply no data to act upon. If you believe we hold any personal data about you, or have any concerns, please contact us and we will respond promptly.
Children
MoneyTools is a general-purpose financial tool intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age of 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal data through this site, please contact us immediately.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this privacy policy — for example, if we introduce advertising or analytics that collect personal data — we will update this page and revise the "last updated" date at the top. We recommend checking back periodically.
